For laypeople, they cannot distinguish the difference between fire sleeves and fire-resistant rings when selecting, which leads to poor performance or even useless products. So, what are the differences between fire sleeves and fire-resistant rings?

1. Fire-resistant rings and fire sleeves

Fire-resistant rings are shells made of metal materials, containing flame-retardant swelling core material inside. When there is a fire, the core material rapidly expands and compresses the pipe, blocking the hole of the pipe in a short time to prevent the fire from spreading along the hole. Fire-resistant rings have the advantages of compact structure, beautiful appearance, combining anti-leakage with fire protection measures, easy and quick installation, etc. They are widely used in industrial and civil buildings, especially in high-rise buildings.

Fire sleeves are sleeves made of alkali-free glass fiber, which are coated with high-quality silicone rubber on the surface. They can be applied to various cable wires, oil pipes, hoses, pipelines and other equipment, and can protect the interior pipelines from damage even in case of fire, providing sufficient time for rescue workers. Fire sleeves have the characteristics of compact structure, beautiful appearance, fire resistance, high-temperature resistance, flame retardation and heat insulation, wear resistance, aging resistance, and long service life. They are widely used in industrial production, especially in high-temperature workshops, for the protection of internal pipelines.

2. Differences between fire-resistant rings and fire sleeves

Fire-resistant rings and fire sleeves are two different products. The former is used in conjunction with other equipment, while the latter is a protection product that can be directly used to protect various pipeline equipment with no restrictions on length, size, and specifications, and has a variety of product types to meet various protection needs.

Fire sleeves are a kind of industrial high-temperature protection products, with many specifications and types, which can be used to protect various cables under high-temperature working conditions, ensure normal and safe power transmission, and normal operation of production equipment without being affected. Cables are commonly used for power transmission and are the main path for all communication and instrument control circuits. In the workshop, only normal power supply of the cable can ensure normal operation. Therefore, cable protection is important.

Fireproof sleeve is made by combining alkali-free glass fiber tubes and silicone rubber, with good insulation performance, high-temperature resistance, flame retardation and heat insulation, acid and alkali resistance, aging resistance, wear and oil pollution resistance, etc., and can effectively protect cables from damage in the working environment. Fireproof sleeve not only has professional protection performance, but also considers the installation method of some fixed cable protection products. Based on the common needs of customers, we have made three types of sleeves to ensure convenient and effective installation for different protection needs of customers.
